Yes, we offer secure teleconsultation services for Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Our virtual sessions deliver the same effective treatment as in-person visits, making quality sleep therapy accessible to clients worldwide. A course of CBT-I usually lasts 6-8 weeks, and you should expect to see improvement in your sleep by this time. Under this therapy, you will learn how certain patterns of thought and behaviour lead to difficulties falling and staying asleep. Our therapists will then work with you to break these habits. We may also teach you how to practice good sleep hygiene and/or relaxation techniques.

CBT-I is currently recognized as the first-line treatment for insomnia by the National Institutes of Health and the British Medical Association. It is safer than using medication, and often provides a more lasting solution to insomnia.

A course of CBT-I may include some sleep hygiene education, but this is not the focus of the therapy.

As clinical psychologists, we cannot prescribe medication under Singapore law. However, we work closely with partner psychiatrists and can refer you to them if we feel that you would be helped by taking medication, or if that is your preferred treatment option.

Mindfulness-based therapy consists of guided mindfulness practices such as paying attention to your breath or the sensations in your body, and discussions on your experiences during the practices. We will also teach you behavioral strategies that you can use at home to improve your sleep.

Our treatment does not have religious content, and those of any religion are welcome to attend. The mindfulness exercises that we teach are those used in secular practice.

Group CBT-I is a structured 6-week program. It uses the same techniques and principles as individual therapy but delivered to a group of up to 6 people.

The program comprises six weekly sessions of 90 minutes each.

We usually hold sessions after working hours on weekday evenings.

Studies have shown that receiving CBT-I in a group setting is just as effective as individual treatment.

We will ask everyone to share their concerns about sleep; beyond that, it is up to you how much you wish to disclose about yourself. We also ask all members of the group to keep what is discussed in session confidential.

We offer group therapy at more affordable rates than individual therapy to increase the accessibility of our services. We also offer a limited amount of financial aid to those with demonstrated need.
